Woodstock launches trading of proprietary community-based baskets

Woodstock, which operates the Gen Z-focused social investment app woodstock.club, has launched a new basket trading feature that allows users to purchase portfolios based on the Woodstock app users' average performance, which outperforms market averages such as the S&P500 and Nasdaq. With this feature, users can now purchase stocks in the same proportion as the average user portfolio. Woodstock will continue to strive to improve features and services that are beneficial for asset building, so that users can steadily achieve investment results through interaction with other users, while maintaining ease of use.
What is the Woodstock Average?
The Woodstock Average is an index created based on the top 30 most popular stocks in the woodstock.club community. Launched in 2023 as a reference indicator representing the overall performance of the community, Woodstock has been providing transparent information about the top holdings in the community and their long-term performance. The components of the Woodstock Average (WS30) are diversified across various sectors, not just manufacturing and technology, calculated based on actual user transactions within the app, and rebalanced quarterly.
In fact, the average user performance has outperformed the S&P500 and Nasdaq, demonstrating the effectiveness and value of social trading as collective intelligence of the community.
Basket Purchase Feature
The basket purchase feature (a trading function linked to Woodstock's proprietary index, the Woodstock Average) that allows users to purchase the above-mentioned average user portfolio in one go has now been added to the app.
This feature makes it possible for users to easily create a portfolio with the same stock holding ratio as the Woodstock community and start investing. With a minimum deposit of 50,000 yen when opening an account, users can purchase the same portfolio as the community average with just a few taps.
The allocation of stocks in the basket is calculated based on the total number of shares held by users in the app and the stock price of those stocks, with the top 30 stocks as the component stocks. In other words, this can be said to represent the overall trading trends of users in Woodstock.
In addition to the Woodstock Average package purchase feature, Woodstock also offers simple baskets that can be started with 1,000 yen and 10,000 yen, making it possible for beginners who want to start investing but don't know what to buy to easily debut as investors.
