Intelligent Wave Inc.’s (IWI’s) NET+1 (Net Plus One) is a software product that provides the network connection, authorization, and authentication functions required for card payments.
Not only does it fully support IC card authentication processing, but it has a proven track record of being widely adopted by major domestic credit card companies as a product that connects to domestic and international card networks. Currently, it is also widely used as a debit card and prepaid card payment system, and is also compatible with banks’ external connection systems, such as ATM connections.
NET+1 is based on the BASE (basic system) package, and can be combined with various optional packages to configure a system that meets the needs of the customer. In addition, to provide customers with a full range of support services, we offer a 24/7 maintenance support system.
IWI has been providing the payment network connection and authentication system “NET+1” for over 30 years in the FEP (Front End Processor) field, which plays a vital role in online payments. Currently, “NET+1” has the top market share among major domestic card companies.
FEP requires 24/7 uninterrupted operation and high-speed processing, so IWI has provided “NET+1” on-premise, built on high-performance hardware that combines high availability and fault tolerance.
In recent years, with the increase in cashless payments in Japan, financial companies, including card companies, are urgently required to consider and promote system modernization, openness, and cloud computing. In light of this, IWI has begun developing cloud-compatible “NET+1,” which plays an important role in financial institutions, so that it can be used not only on-premise but also on the cloud.
Development of “NET+1” to be compatible with AWS is scheduled to be completed around April 2025, and sales will be focused primarily on card companies, banks, and other financial institutions that are promoting the modernization, openness, and cloudification of their systems.
In addition, IWI will continue to consider support for clouds other than AWS and adding new functions to “NET+1” in order to contribute to the digital transformation (DX) of financial institutions.
