GOLDEN EGG Ventures completes first fund with total amount of over 4 billion yen

GOLDEN EGG Ventures has completed the formation of GOLDEN EGG Investment Limited Partnership No. 1 with total capital of over 4 billion yen. Eleven financial institutions, eleven non-financial companies, and eight individual investors have participated, and the fund has already begun investing in a number of startups both in Japan and overseas.

GOLDEN EGG Ventures (GEV) has the vision of "creating a continuous, open ecosystem for startup co-creation" and has the following characteristics.
Corporate transformation consulting expertise
GEV invests in a wide range of startups aiming to solve social issues, and generously provides the management/organization consulting knowledge they have cultivated while supporting the corporate transformation of over 1,000 companies and multiple unicorn companies. By providing support to entrepreneurs and management teams in the growth phase, as well as business development and organizational issues, GEV will realize exponential value co-creation.
Promoting open innovation with local and large companies
GEV will leverage their extensive network with local governments and regional financial institutions, as well as their experience supporting many major companies, to create a number of collaborations and synergies that combine the strengths of each organization.
GEV is the only VC to have signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Shibuya Ward aimed at co-creating a startup ecosystem, combining government and private sector knowledge to promote Shibuya Ward's pioneering initiatives ahead of other cities.
Supporting the global expansion of domestic startups/supporting overseas startups entering the Japanese market
GEV has members with ample overseas experience, including former overseas managers at major VCs, and has its own sourcing routes with over 300 overseas VCs and partners around the world. GEV provides support for domestic startups expanding overseas, and overseas startups expanding into Asia, including Japan, from both a business and organizational perspective.
