Cross Capital invests in Airbus Ventures Fund IV

Cross Capital has invested in “Airbus Ventures Fund IV,” managed by Airbus Ventures, through its Fund of Funds, Cross Capital I Limited Partnership (CC1). This collaboration establishes a strategic partnerships aimed at fostering innovation and mutual growth.

Airbus Ventures, established in 2016 and headquartered in California, is a global venture capital fund investing in deep-tech startups across a wide range of industries. The fund invests in autonomous mobility, electrification, low-carbon economy, advanced materials, manufacturing systems, next-generation computing, sensing, security, and beyond, with 80 transactions completed to date.

The fund’s areas of investment closely align with industries where Japan has traditionally excelled, such as robotics & AI, advanced manufacturing, and space communications. Often, however, understanding these technologies and translating them into actionable collaborations can be challenging. Leveraging Airbus Ventures’ expertise in early-stage venture innovation, Cross Capital seeks to combine global technological advancements and solutions with the strengths of the Japanese ecosystem , contributing to the transformation and acceleration of Japan’s industrial landscape.

Cross Capital is dedicated to “unlocking Japan’s potential through the power of cross-border innovation.” It operates a Japan-focused open innovation infrastructure leveraging a fund-of-funds structure.
