Bloomo Securities raises JPY 2bn in Series A

Bloomo Securities, which provides a US stock investment app, has raised a total of 2 billion yen in a Series A round through a third-party allocation of shares to Global Brain, ANRI, Spiral Capital, Portage Ventures, MUFG Innovation Partners, Angle Bridge, Sumitomo Corporation Venture & Innovation, and Scrum Ventures. This brings the company's total funding to approximately 2.85 billion yen.
The funds raised will be used to develop new features and products, recruit talent, and promote the service.
In recent years, Japan has seen significant yen depreciation, transitioning from a long-standing deflationary period to an inflationary era. This has made it essential for individuals to engage in asset building through investments, accelerating the trend of "shifting from savings to investments." With the mission of "making investment accessible to everyone," Bloomo Securities provides the "Bloomo" app, which allows users to easily manage assets through US stocks and ETFs. With Bloomo, users from beginners to experienced investors can copy portfolios from experts and other users with just one tap, enabling everyone to easily engage in sophisticated portfolio investment and asset management.
Since the service's public launch in May 2024, Bloomo Securities has expanded their features to include portfolio investment, portfolio sharing and copying, rebalancing, as well as becoming the first Japanese securities company to offer dividend reinvestment in units as small as 0.0001 shares and automatic regular investment. Bloomo Securities also began supporting NISA accounts last October. By focusing on providing an easy-to-understand asset management experience, Bloomo Securities has achieved a 4.7 satisfaction rating on the App Store—the highest among domestic securities companies—and have received high praise from users.
Bloomo Securities is also actively promoting the app through partnerships with other companies. In November 2024, Bloomo Securities launched "Bloomo for JFR Card," and in February 2025, the company launched "Bloomo for SBI Sumishin Net Bank." Bloomo Securities plans to announce several new partnerships in the coming months, delivering Bloomo to more people through partner companies.
Moving forward, while maintaining Bloomo's distinctive ease of use and simplicity in asset management, Bloomo Securities will continue to update its product by enhancing investment features and expanding available investment products to be chosen by more customers as a platform for sophisticated asset management. Next month, the company will be releasing a Japanese yen cash account, enabling more flexible asset management.
Bloomo Securities will continue its mission to create a society where everyone can be confident about their future through asset building, and to develop new financial infrastructure that represents our era.
